Entry: "Monday Madness..."

For some reason or other I spent the better part of the past weekend just sleeping my butt off. As a result I think I might have short circuited my blogging fuse since at the current moment I can not think of one single redeeming thing to blog about. So...bear with me as I just let whatever comes to my slumbering brain cells flow out any which way...

I can remember a time when you were a young child growing up and it seemed that the world was falling in all around me and you were afraid of life and I knew it was you there beside me holding your hand talking to me comforting you holding me close to your heart while I went on with your life all along pretending to be strong but we were weaker than you thought I could hold on but we let go only to realize that what you were missing was never lost or found out that my reality was just a figment of someone else’s imagination running away with us on a peaceful journey into the shadows of a time long ago or was it a time yet to happen the way it did kind of reminded me that life is to love as love is to life without purpose is nothing to live for means eternity holds the promise of a better day….

Now, if that don't make some of you raise your eyebrows, shake your heads and/or reach for the X in the upper right hand corner then you're just as bad off as my sorry axe! Now let me go dig around in my old albums for "The Brothers Johnson" so I can reminisce some...

I found a couple of quotes for you by the great "unknown"

I hope your dreams take you... to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.

God blessed you with unique talents and abilities, and you have used those gifts well! You've taken nothing for granted; rather, you have worked hard to prepare for a challenging future.

You are alright, keep up the good life smile

Thanks, Miss Positivity!I can always count on you to keep my spirits up thats for sure! :o)

You just keep testing yourself and continue to always do what you are afraid to do. Life is an adventure in a strange and uncharted wilderness and we all need to jump in with both feet and get good and wet smile
Don't know your band blush I was into David Essex and John Lennon when I was younger.

Hi Meadow...if life is an adventure then I am certainly an explorer seeking new lands and new peoples. Life is fun though overall, in spite of our moments of despair and uncertainty. I listened to a little bit of Lennon too back in the day although my main groove was definitely with the likes of The Ohio Players, AWB, Brothers Johnson, The Commodores, Funkadelic....those were the days...greggy

I tried commenting on your plankton remark this weekend Greggy, but my pc internet went down for a few hours. Sheesh.
Anyways, it is no longer a plankton alert.
Hm...Brothers Johnson. I think i'll dig out the cd.(I replaced most of my old music on disc, but I still have the albums. What do we do with those dust magnets? Sell 'em on Ebay?).

Thats OK Cheryl...technology is a batch sometimes aint it? I was advised to hold on to my old albums they might be worth something one day..oh well, too late here as I've already dumped most of mine already. I too have replaced most of mine with CD discs. I say sell the records anywhich way you can unless they have sentimental value for ya...greggy

Hi Greg! i hope you cna get that askhole to stop messing with your shotbox. Just dont let it get you down ok? Yes the Brothers Johnson were my favorite group too along with Average White Band I know you loved them too. I have a whole bunch of old albums but my player isnt working I need to record them to my CDs before it's too late. I got to tell you that after reading this poem?post? that I thought it was really strange but nice too. kind of like you LOL have a good time tomorrow ok.

Girl you know as well as I know how much we used to jam to those songs! *whew* Remember Daddy's All Gone (AWB)??? My personal love song favorite from back then, yes! And the list goes on and on. I had a whole lot more old albums than I have now but I decided to sell most of them to a friend a few years ago once I started putting all my stuff on digital media. I don't even use my old record player anymore, it prolly doesn't even work anymore come to think of it...LOL. Glad you enjoyed my post, I didn't think too many people would even bother to read it LOL...thanks!...Happy Tuesday!
p.s....I fixed you email addy thingy, don't ask me why it does that???...greggy

What in the world is up with my blogmates this past weekend? I swear I think we were all encompassed in a "Folie'a'deux" - A madness shared by two (or in our cases 3) If you look at my recent blog, I was in full old school mode this past weekend Greg, and I just came from Nina where she was trying to find out the meanings behind lyrics of a certain song by...The Brothers Johnson. Talk about 6 degrees of separation. Or at least a good start to one. Everybody take it to the top we're gonna STOMP! All Night! -lol

Actually let me mention first that nina mentioned them on her blog first and I was just dropping their name by default...they were a great group though along with most of the other old school groups from back then...party on, eh?...greggy

Yeah Ray...actually they were mentioned on another blog I was on and it sort of made it's way over to mine by default. Those were the days though, many wonderful memories come back every time I listen to them. Have a good rest of the week Ray...greggy
