Entry: "Being thankful..."

Iíve decided to take a moment to sit down and let you know what I am thankful for. Most of you may know me as Greg, Greggy, or even Artist Greggy. Indeed you may have even deduced that I am an artist or someone who is creatively inclined and a relatively decent guy. Those of you who have known me for more than a year or so will also know by now of the events that have shaped my life since the summer of í05. Indeed because of that fact there are just so many things in my life now that I am so everlastingly thankful for that it would impossible for me to list them all here and besides I wouldnít want to bore you with the details. However, I am exceedingly thankful that I even exist. To me life has a different meaning than it did just a few years ago. Iíve learned first hand how the very breath that we or our loved ones take for granted can be taken away suddenly in the blink of an eye. Yes indeed I have many things to be thankful for. While many will have spent the Thanksgiving holiday with the main focus on seeing how much food they can stuff into their already stuffed belies the vast majority of them will never pause to even seriously contemplate what they have in their lives to be thankful for. Iím not just talking about being glad about having something good going on in your life; Iím talking about having the knowledge that what you have going on is a blessing, indeed a gift to be thankful for. Iím just thankful that I was deemed worthy of life and I intend to express my appreciation of that fact by becoming the best person I can be in the amount of time I have remaining, for I also realize that I am mortal. Iíve also noticed how much more I have ďmaturedĒ in the last year or so. Iíve always been a somewhat laid back individual, someone who is more apt to observe than one who would crave the spotlight or center stage. Although I wasnít a bona-fide hell-raiser when I was coming up, Iíve found myself in many situations where except for the Grace of God I probably would not be alive today. I am indeed thankful for being alive and able to type this. Sometime we take the most basic things for granted without a second thought as to what it would mean to suddenly not have what we cherish the most in our lives. Be thankful that you exist, that you are who you are. Be thankful that you were deemed worthy of life and act accordingly.

7 brothers and sisters helped me to understand.

(((Good energy))) Nice to cherish what is, rather than always looking outside yourself for something more. Good to hear you have a handle on being in the moment, smiling and thankful for the gift of now.

Catch today and be happy,

It's been a long time Greggy. I've certainly thought about you alot during my hiatus and apologize for losing touch. Life was topsy turvy for a moment, but like you i'm thankful for so much and i'm happy that God continues to shine his blessings on all of us. We're here and everyday is an experience to cherish and or learn from. I hope we keep in touch my friend. Love and hugs from me to you.

Peace and Blessings, Greggy! Your last line says it all for me -- "Be thankful that you were deemed worthy of life and act accordingly." I "live" with this sentiment everday to remind myself that I have to do better. My life is rich with opportunities and experiences, and for that, I am extremely grateful! smile

Sad thing is that a lot of time it feels like acting instead of being. I'll try to put it to work though man. Keep it up.
